Picking up where we left off in the previous post.

From here you want to choose Add new listing

  • Fill out all of the fields and correct the location marker if necessary
  • Click Next, fill out any remaining information.
  • At this point you must validate your listing, via phone or postcard, and click finish
  • Once back at the Local Business Center Dashboard click on view report for your site.
  • There will be a lot of information in here and it all boils down to – how effective are you?
  • On the right hand side will be a gauge showing you how close you are to having everything filled out.
  • It is recommended to make a coupon, add images, perhaps video, and generally work to attract people to your business.

Congratluations you will now be listed within the local search results on google.

The Bing Webmaster Center is helpful as well:

Once you fill out the forms on this page and hit submit they will ask you to download a file and place it in the root directory of your website.

  • Download the file to your desktop, use your favorite ftp program and upload this file into the root of your website (where your index or home page are).

Once you have performed these steps you will have access to more tools for your website.

  • Here you will want to keep an eye out for anything Blocked, the Indexed pages looking off, and the last crawl date.
  • Tabs for tools such as Backlinks and Keywords are helpful as well to see how traffic finds you.

Cuil Search

Go to Cuil’s Webmaster Info area:
